I have been flying my lepton on 5s 3700 flightpower packs for a while now.

I wanted to try out the 5s 3300 packs to see if there was any improvement.

I found the power is still VERY good. Basically the same as the 3700's. Pack temps stay below 120f. and flight times around 5 minutes of agressive 3d flying at 3000rpm.
It gave a little more pop due to the reduced weight and it helped make my rolls more axial.

my setup is:
Hacker A30-12XL with fan and 24 tooth pinion
Jazz 55-10-32 govenor at 75%
UBEC
9650's cyclic
401 with 9254 servo
stock blades
stock paddles

My eagle tree fdr took a dump but I have been putting in around 2600 mah on the recharges.
I also tried this thing out at near 3200 rpm headspeed. I liked it but want to wait for some good carbon blades to keep it there.
This little heli just keeps on impressing me.

mudbogger, where did you mount the (optical) RPM sensor from the eagle tree ? this has to be very (too much) close to the turning object ... 2-4mm ... huh ! I mounted mine from below to the delrin 95T gear close to battery holder, made it 50/50 black/white.

I do not use the rpm sensor on the eagle tree. I prefer an optical tach.

I see, do you use the temp sensor ?

yes, for the packs only. I use a laser temp gun for motor temps.

I see, I just did not find out how to bring this sensor piece close enough to the place the heat generated, probably it needs some conductor around it, elsewise probably it will always show too low, as air is flowing around it
