Can I trust those devices using a G3 receiver?
FYI, I'm using Channel 291... 35.310Mhz

I know several pilots using G3 RX with a Revolution base loaded antenna. These are on 72 mhz.

I run one on mine, 72mhz. No issues ever. Works great for me. Revolution Brand.

how about the range ? i mean generally, a revolution whip antenna reduces/improves/same range?

Been there, done that :arggg:
Maybe on a indoor heli or a plane. But NEVER in a big airplane or helicopter.
Have smacked one stratus and have had several glitches with base load antennas such as Deans and Quick's.
Probably has to do with the 35Mhz frequency.
The 72Mhz doesn't have that problem with a lot of loss in range.....
Have mounted it inside the canopy (terrible range) and outside (better).
So I would not recommend to try it.

I have several birds, 2 are turbines on 50mhz with deans and no problems so far ...

Those helis are so expensive that I'd better stick to Futaba's suggested best practices... unless being told otherwise by themselves

Here is a few threads about base loaded antennas and G3 RX.

I see G3 RX's at events all the time being used with a base loaded antenna.

Great sounds like a go to me!

Here is a great article on inductance (base Load) antennas and what happens versus a full wavelength long wire.

I use base loaded antennas at 1/4 wave on many types of communications devices with some loss of gain and sensitivity of course, but how far away do you need to fly?

I've been running both Revolution and Deans base load antennas on 50mhz, and 53mhz HAM bands and haven't had any issues.
