D.L. 5.1 Reg Input Vltg

Hey Guys will the D.L. regulators handle the input of a 3 cell LiPo (roughly 12.6 volts no load at full charge)
Wanting to use a LiPo for a Rx battery & have quiet a few 3 cells but no 2's. The D.L. website says they will handle up to 12. Dont mind buying a 2S but if I dont have to I wont.

Anyone using 3S?

I have never tried a 3S setup on a Duralite Regulator. Notice it says is can handle up to 12 volts. I take that to mean 12 volts and nothing more. A 3S is going to be close to 13 volts when fully charged.

Ya I went ahead & ordered a 2S today. No sense in pushing something if you dont have to!

From what I hear Steve, the people who run the 3s packs run UBEC's and use a 3s pack to power it instead of the main flight packs.
