anybody know if you can get them ? or do i have to buy a new servo? i have looked all the usual places and cant find the gears anywhere.

The gear set for the JR DS285 is part number JRPSG241. Most hobby shops should carry it or be able to get it otherwise Horizon Hobby has it.
