HDX300 Futaba 6EXHP and GY240 Setup AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hi all, long time looker but first time post. I completed my HDX300 build and have some questions with the electronics.
I now have 2 helis :D
after the upgrade of my CP I found out that I really did not want to use any of my CP parts so I just got another radio and WOW now I have 2 helis.

Think I really have the heli bug?

Here is what I have for the HDX300
Futaba 6EXHP
S3103 Servos
GY240 HH gyro

My questions,
1 - can someone tell me how I setup this radio?? I am not sure I have the thinks plugged in correctly :arggg:

2 - Do I mount the GY240 on its back or standing upright? I have seen pictures of them both ways.

The gyro goes on it's back. Mine came premounted so I just checked the manual to be sure.

I bought my heli (Caliber 30) used so the 6EXHP was already programmed. This one is mechanical mixing, where the blade and 300 are collective mixing. I use a 7CHP on my blade and T-rex HDE (also mechanical mix). Haven't really gotten into the 6EX to see how to set up CP mixing. If nobody else responds I will check it out for you. I downloaded the manual from Futaba.com so if you didn't get the manual for either the GY240 or 6EXHP you can get it there.

Thanks zooland1, I will install the GY240 with the lable facing up.

I do have the manual on the 6EXHP but I am still having major problems getting this 6EXHP setup. When I plug the 3 servos in that are supposed to control the swash it only is controlling the Aileron and elevator the Pitch Servo is not working at all. I have tried a number of things but just can not get all 3 to work.

If someone can help with a document or something that would be great.

Have you set the swashplate type to Swash 3 or SR3 whatever the 6ex calls it.

Well, that worked setting swash to s3. Also didnt help having a bad Servo. now i need to work on the gy240.
