Beware JR DS821 [Archive]

Crashed my Caliber 5. Elevator servo shaft snapped in hover. Had same failure on throttle servo 2 weeks ago and thought it a 1 off. Heli was flying sweet, absolutely no vibes. Looks like output shaft made from cheap plastic material . Brittle fracture, output shaft material looks like graphite composite on outside but inside, at fracture, is cheap plastic.Returned all 5 servos to LHS for replacement. Not happy with JR at the moment :bomb:

Had on fail on my Caliber 5 eCCPM servo. Luckly, I had the training skid on and was close to the ground, cost me a set of tail blades thats all.

I have heard a lot of people with problems with the 821. Didn't believe it and paid for it now.

So, I have 3 821 sitting around because I went with Futaba 9252.

I do still have one at throttle. I figure it is light duty but may be i should reconsider.
