i have been trying my Futaba super 9 with the XTr and i have set it to PPm mode so all the sticks work correctly and of course done the calibration but any of the helis i use seem to be all over the place like i cant fly? the tails snap around in every which way like there is no gyro even tweaking the settings seems to bring no joy to the point where any of the helis is unflyable?? whats going on?? (and no im not a beginner at flying i been flying on and off for 15 yrs but this sime is outta control)

It is possible that your frame refresh rate is too low, which makes the helis unflyable. This is because the feedback loop from fingers to PC to screen to brain become too slow and you cannot keep up with what's happening to the heli.

What PC are you running it on (CPU/speed, RAM, graphics card/graphic memory) and what frame rate is it reporting in the bottom rh corner (I think) ? Anything less than 30fps is probably too slow.

Try the following to improve your frame rate:

a) Simulation/Display mode/VSync - should be unticked
b) Scenery/Panorama resolution - select the minimum

If it is still too low:

c) Simulation/Display mode/800x600x16

Finally:
d) Simulation/Parameters/General - exhaust should be unticked

Hope that is some help.

So was it the swash setting like lowflyer101 suggested or something else that fixed it ?
