on my way home from a real estate shoot today I drove past the movie set for "The Kingdom". They were shooting out here for a few months this summer and a portion of the set was still up. They've demo'd the rest of it but I managed to get these shots.
Where I was located is surrounded by fence and barbed wire so I had to stage on the outside and fly in for the shots.
The set is supposed to mimmick a village in Iraq.

what's amazing is how real and authentic it will all seem when the movie shows on the big screen.

no doubt.... sets always look pathetically fake when you are there looking at them but on the silver screen... man! you'd never know it wasn't real.

You should hang out there some more, might get some movie industry contacts you could shoot some video for! :D
