try reversing the throttle channel.
You need idle position to arm most ESC's.

thanks wayne!!

I have tried that and all it does it reverse my collective picth as well...meaning the 100% is at the bottom and 0 is at the top..all the servos are shattering too..I have got the tail motor to work but the main still doesnt want to arm...should i have the expo or throttle curve at a certain setting ...i tried it with the trims all the down as well...i am a newbie at rc heli so there must be something i am doing wrong

I got a stupid question.

If the 6EXHP doesn't support CCPM, how do you guys propose you're ever gonna get this working correctly? It is my understanding that 100's have already been down this road only to find it won't work. I'm curious why you guys think you can make it work.

Try setting your bottom endpoint on the throttle lower. say 120% and see if it arms then.

wilsonflyer,

The hobby shop sold me that radio and told me it would work..but i am a newbie so....i got it working for a few minutes and then the tail wasnt working so i restarted from scratch and now my tail is working with the revo and gyro my main is not arming..ive a eflite brushless motor and esc and a 3in1 for the tail

the 6exhp is for helis right?

I dont understand why it wouldnt work but then again i cant get it to work :arggg:

ive got both the main esc and tail esc connected to the channel 3 on the receiver...would that make any difference?

the 6 ex series is CCPM compatable.
reverse throttle, and channel 6 should be reversed in the swash AFR menu.
go back to the manual for the radio, and follow the setup for CCPM 3 servo 120* mix. Reverse or invert the channels (from a + value to a - value) until you get it working.

pretty short actually.
I travel a lot for work, meeting people in my travels who also fly and frequent the Freak, I decided it was better to be known as myself than a screen name.

that is it. Adjust the values of each in turn to a positive or negative value, the larger the number, the more throw or travel each item has.
For the main motor, work on getting the ESC for it to arm, you may have to set the values larger than 100% to get it to arm, try both normal and reverse.

folllow the e flight instructions on stick programming the ESC.

I second Wayne's instruction...

If you did not calibrate the ESC to the stick positions, it will never arm...

Make sure you use a linear curve that goes from -100% to +100% for calibration!

Cheers, Daniel

I have tried everything to get that thing to arm..it keeps beeping and beeping at low throttle and stops to beep at about a 1/4 throttle..the motor and esc doesnt even have 5 hrs on it...I talked to horizon and he had no idea what could be the problem or even what does the beeping mean...they sure do know there product ???....I guess i will try with another blade cp from someone else with a regular blade cp receiver and transmitter and go from there..thanks for all your help

These are my radio setting, clear yours out completely before you enter mine, as you might have something mixing you don't want. Also I use the Honeybee bell hiller head so the pitch curves will be different and my throttle curves are based on when the red lite comes on in the 4in1 unit.... SET THE SWASH first then go back to revr and put in your other setting.....
