I`m having problems setting up the flight sim for autorotations and also not able to use my pitch/throttle curves on the TX only governer mode.
Autos when the throttle hold is operated leave the heli dropping out of the sky like a rock with no chance of flairing and putting it down safely.
Altering the model parameters with ticks in boxs to use the pitch/throttle curve option leave the heli sat on the ground at low throttle without being able to lift off.
I`ve tried various combinations but I must be missing something somewhere but what?

I had this same problem.
Here is how I am able to practice autos.

I Go into the "General Simulation Parameters" and set the "Launch Initial Altitude" to 20. You start however high/low you want.

Then go to the "Modify Model Parameters" and uncheck the governor. Leave the "Transmitter mixing Pitch->Throttle checked.

The active tail rotor is up to you if you want to practice with it or without it checked.

Then hit F4 to start, and you ready to ROCK!

After you land/crash it will restart.

Thanks for the info.
I`ve set the sim up as suggested.
I`ve got more control over the throttle and pitch now but when switching throttle hold in the heli still drops like stone and it is impossible to flare the landing.
Any more ideas?

What do you have your "Stick Auto" position set on your TX?

I have mine at 50% I drop the Throttle/Pitch stick below 50% (half stick) when I hit my Hold, and bring it back up past 50% to do the flares and everything works like it should. Plus I have my Hold Pos at +5.0 %.

I have a JR 9303 and adjusts in the Throttle hold on your TX.

I have a UK JR3810 that I`m using.
To be honest I don`t think that every thing is setup correctly and fully even for flying the models.Possibly just little things though.
Obviously I need to sort them out if I`m going to get any where.
I`ve now set my throttle hold at +5% hold Position as suggested.
Not sure about the`Stick Auto `position though,I think I need some more info.

That is a something you need to do, is figure out all the inputs to your TX. Not just for the SIM but for real flying. If your heli and your TX are not set up properly, you will have problems.

It takes time but you need to learn the ins and outs of your TX. I am not familiar with your radio and I do not even know if you have this feature,

But...

What "Stick Auto" does is tell your TX at what point to make your throttle go into the auto/hold mode. I have mine at 50%, half stick. When I hit the Throttle hold lever I have to go below half stick for it to kick into the auto/hold mode.
Then that is when I can start using my cyclic to put pitch in, to slow the heli down and do my flare. I have seen and read where some TX's will only do this if you take your cyclic all the way down to idle then back up.

If I just hit throttle hold and do not come down past my setting then it stays in normal mode, and does not go into hold.

Like I told you in a PM it is hard for me to explain in writing, wish I knew how to show you.

But these are steps to get you going in the right direction.

Thanks Mike
My Tx is the same as a US XP8103.I have had it some time and know my way around it about 80%.
I`ll continue to try and sort out what little bits I need to know for the sim and also try to put in that extra time with the actual flying.
We don`t get the fine weather like you do over in the US,that doesn`t help when you want to try the real thing though.
