Here two pictures of "howto and where" to mount optical RPM sensors on the Lepton, I tried many places, but this one is probably best, as it needs to be very close (2-4mm), but then you will have very good results. Have fun.

I've actually mounted magnets in the 2nd stage (which is fixed to the main mast).
This way I can also monitor my rpm's when I autorotate.

It's a pain to fix the the sensor though :arggg:

I have installed one magnet in the main shaft alu collar. Works great for Eagle Three fdr rpm sensor . :cool:

Hmmm, that might have been a perfect place, A well I still have 2 magnets left :)

well, mine is optical, so you need flat surface to color, did not really know before buying, also did not know, that it has to be closer than 4mm. Anyway luckily above works now quite well.
