Just want to make sure that the Berg receiver i ordered for my shogun will work ok with my futaba 9C.

It will work fine but you will need a JR Crystal on your channel for it. You will also need to re-program it so the 5/6 channel is set for channel 6, as they ome standard as channel 5. Takes about 5 minutes to do the re-program.
I am running 3 of them and they work great.
