Guys, i find it very hard to convince a friend of mine who fly T-rex to convert to a Raptor. The "high cost" discourage him, well it became a high cost, due to his requirements. He set a super requirements for his heli, he wanted "the works".
I mean do we really need an all around digital servo, i know of a guy who use S3001 and he still did all those stunts without any problems. I guess some people are just like that...if i can't have a ferrari, i wouldn't drive...
Do u guys dream for all around digital servos? I m only using 2 digital servo.

I would use digitals all around except the throttle servo. Digitals have much better centering than standard which I would say is pretty signifacant in a heli.

At the end of the day, it all depends on the guys flying. Hard core 3D requires the 'tools' of the trade - namely quality servo's.
If he's at the hovering stage less could be more.

We have two guys like you describe at our field. PITA that they can be, where they are and the speed of progression of new stuff is hindered IMO by the slower analog servos.
If they intend to sport fly, the analog stuff is okay, provided they use quality servos, however if they intend to get into violent stuff, the digitals are the way to go. The holding power of the digi's is what's essential, and the ability to produce the maximum torque instantly certainly helps. The analog servos are slower for the same amount of torque, and actually have to wind up to move. ( the armature is static at rest in an analog, and dynamic (constantly moving) in a digital.)
