Hi,
Is there anyone using this GOV yet?

I bought one, and have found that the LED lights don't seam to correspond with the RPM properly. I understand that the printed sheet is correct up to a point and then changes after 1900 rpm, i'm within this range, so it shoulden't affect me.

Was also wondering if the GOV works below 1600 rpm? This is where the lights start, in the setup menu.

I'm using a JR 9x 2 which has built in GOV software.

Cheers

David

I found out today at the feild.

You can scroll the %ages and adjust the RPM via the tranny. :D

so inthe governor menu you can change the rpm and not in the atv function area of the menu right? i had the same problem today and thought about that on the way home.

yes that is correct i actually had a guy there today with me that told me in the BASIC mode to have the throttle at 100% across the board!

Hi Tork,

Governor mode is cool. You use the gear channel and then activate the GOV function against the gear channel.
The menu on the 9X 2 alows you to assign it to your flight mode switch.
NOR 19%
ST 1 48%
ST 2 60%
HOLD 0%

By adjusting these values you are changing the head speed.

In the basic mode i guess you could use 100% on the curves, but i would not, because if you loose a magnet or the sensor your curves will be in affect!!!!!

Just configure basic curves and in basic mode the governor is acting as a governor full time, in the ATG mode it uses your curves until it sees a drop in head speed, when this is the case the governor adjusts the throttle to catch back up.

right i think i will put it in atg mode this week. also the same guy told me that when i do put it in atg mode to get the curves correct and use all cyclic to throttle mixing so when u move elev. or ail. u increase the throttle did you do this?

Yes,

I have used where needed, mixes to help the heli not bog down when flying it.
