I have just finished my trex 700 and have bound the AR7100r. after I unplug the battery to the heli and turn the radio off and turn everything back on I have to rebind. I have set this up according to the instructions and have used many other spektrum receivers in the past on other models. could this be a bad receiver or am I missing a step?

What radio are you binding with?
I would clear the model completely, then create a new model, name it and just set the swash 3 servo 120 degrees.

Rebind the TX/RX and then setup the radio. After you are all setup, rebind again.;) Try that and let us know.

Also do you turn on TX first and then RX ? Just checking, I know it's elementary but some times brain farts happen to all of us.:)

Im using a jr xp9503, lol and yes radio first on and last off. I have rebound this at least 15 times still have the issue. Thought about coping it to a differnt model number in the radio and see what happens or try it on my dx7

Try clearing the model off the memory completely. I had a similar problem with the 9503 and the throttle servo, it was not working after I transferred all my settings to it.

I cleared the model and rebound the TX/Rx and then set it up and it worked great with my AR 7100/R. ;)

are you removing the bind plug before you remove power from the receiver? i've got an AR7100 that I can't get to bind....so i feel your pain.

Ok, let's make sure that we are all doing the binding process the right way. :D

Plug the bind plug to the RX, turn the RX on, light should be flashing on the remote RX. Turn the TX on, while pressing the button in the back of the TX. Wait until the lights stop flashing on the RX and the servos are initialized and at the proper fail safe positions.
At this point I remove the bind plug first and then I release the button in the back of the TX. Presto, TX/RX are bound. After that you can shut RX, then TX. You are done. ;)

Hope this helps.

The radio will have to be sent in to horizon for a software update. I set this model up on channel 31
