I have 8 x 1.2V 700 NiCd MaH Sanyo cells that are loaded into a pack for use in a TX.

Could someone please advise what rate I should be charging them at - I have done .6 V but the whole lot charges within 10 mins or so which doesn't seem right?

What should the correct rate be - using a Swallow Advance charger?

Hey,

Is this time from fully discharged or partially charged?

I'd suggest cycling the cells, discharge at say 0.7 ~ 1amp and then recharge them noting what Mah the cells take back in.
As they are NiCads this type of cell does suffer a memory effect, whereby the cell loses it's memory of what capacity it should be and assuming the cells are still in good condition the cycling should restore them to their fully health.

I would do this 2~3 times and inturn will give you a good indication of their condition and service life.
