Good to hear from a fellow Victorian. It is an expensive hobbie so being on a disabilty pension it is going to be a long road. I have just purchased clearview and still having trouble getting the registration to activate. I have sent an email to support to see where i am going wrong, waiting for a reply. Think i will have a lot of practice on clearview before i start with the real thing as it is cheaper to crash a sim.

How much are you paying for 15% nitro in Aus. Here in indonesia, we are paying about 25.00 a gallon. My friend only gets about 7 flights a gallon. to me, it would be cheaper per flight for electric.

I don't have nitro models but a quick search came up with a range of about USD$5/litre for homebrew if you buy the materials in large quantities from commercial suppliers to USD$12/litre for pre-mix from LHS. A US gallon is approx 4litres so the premix is up around USD$40-50/gallon! Maybe electric is indeed cheaper per flight minute in Australia :)
