Page 119 of the 12 Z manual, that should help you get it set up and operating.
You do have the speed (RPM) selection lead from the GV1 plugged into channel 7 on the receiver?
The ON/OFF lead from the GV 1 should be plugged into channel 8 on the receiver.

wait can you just use the setting on the governor to use it? or do you have to use the speed channel as well i would imagine so cause you would have to adjust the headspeed from the radio if desired. i never thought of that thanks

You can use either one. Depends on how you have the Governor program in the radio setup.

so if i dont have the program in the radio i will just tune it on the gov itself ok right i remeber now from my raptor. but if i wanted to adjust speed in the radio i would have to plug in speend channel and the it would bypass the gov itself and work at the set rpm right?

You have to plug in both leads from the GV1 into the receiver. No matter where you control it from the transmitter or set the speed in the GV1. You have to plug in the RPM lead from the GV1 to channel 7 of the receiver if you want to have more than one speed with the GV1. If you just want to use one speed only. Then you can get by with only plugging one lead into the receiver.
