My Outrage 550 is up on an SK720!

The first hover on Sunday was successful and uneventful. I'll pass along further impressions after flying it more.

I thought I would share a photo for now.

woah.. how did you get one? Beta tester? Or are they finally delivering the first batch?

I am thinking of converting one of my 550's to the 720.... the only reason I got the Mikado's was the 720 was taking so dang long to come out.. and I knew it would cut into my stick time if I waited... sure enough.. I have over 10 hours now on my 550's... and they are sold out until May or something with the 720's currently.

I have vbars currently... is this your first FBL? Or do you have experience with others to compare?

Yes, on both counts. I was lucky enough to be part of the beta testers group. The day HeliDirect started selling the first release batch, I pulled that trigger too. The air parcel shipped yesterday and arrived today.

Besides flybar helis, I have had Skookum SK360's, Mini V-Bars and a V-Bar (latest gen).

I'm a sport flyer, not a 3D guy. My skills are limited to right-side-up hovering all around, fast forward and backwards flight, stall turns, loops, rolls and front / back / side flips. My next leap is inverted hovering but I need to master that well in the simulator before I try it in real life.

I'll give updates on the SK720-ed Outrage 550 sometime soon and would be happy to share my setup file. The SK720 in my Trex 250 is fantastic. I suspect the SK720 will be even better in the Outrage 550, being that it's a much more capable airframe ... one I know I'll never entirely do justice.

Yeah baby! Nice!
I pulled the trigger on 2 SK720s on Monday. Getting the May 15th batch and am traveling to the USA and returning home end of May.
One goes on my 550, the other on 700E (Align 3G already sold). Will be transferring SK360 to a 450 Pro, and the 250 well, nothing for now... I'll see later this year.
