Hey folks,

It is nice to have Jimmy as a flying buddy and neighbor. He lives about 50 miles south of me. We don't get to fly together much, but things will improve on this in the future.

Jimmy works for Ms State University and is a pioneer in large electric RC heli's. His work is incrediable. His Electric Predator is awesome !!!

Congrats Jimmy on all you have accomplished and I can't wait to see more of your projects !!! More photos please !!!

Will, That is version 1.6245a:). I have the thing so sensitive for Kam’s flying I am almost afraid to hover the thing. It is IRCHA bound in a few days.

The controller is a Schultze. The heat sink is an add-on. After I got the controller to 200 F, I thought it was needed. It stays cool now.

None with canopy yet.
Canopy is Logo 20 (much lighter)

What type of motor is that in the electric hawk sport? It looks like you have a completely different frame for the heli and CCPM, considering it looks completely different than my nitro Hawk sport and i couldn't put a motor in the same place on mine. Also are there any videos of the E-predator that's on this thread? I have seen video of an E Predator with the same or a similar motor but wasn't sure if it was that one. Either way it's amazing to see it fly.

Thanks for the info. Just curious-are the left and right frames the same distance apart on the raven as they are on the hawk? That would be necessary to make the trimmed predator front frame used as a motor mount fit in the hawk. Also i have the plastic frames which are a little different than the metal frames of the raven so that makes things a bit different.
