I don't know if any of you have tried Lightroom yet, but it's an interesting product! Probably the most useful feature I have found so far is the ability to perform color adjustments using L*A*B, without having to convert the image! If you click on the "Develop" tab and scroll about half-way down to "Color Adjustments" you're in for a treat!
Each photograph in the library maintains its own history of adjustments. You can crop, do before/after comparisons, and more. There is no facility for doing retouching; that is not what the product is meant for. Photoshop is by no means replaced. This is just an easier way to perform the initial adjustments.
Lightroom will accept any RAW image format. The core of the program is based on Adobe's Camera RAW product, so all of the cameras that are supported by the older product are supported by Lightroom.
Download it and try it! Mac OSX native and Windows XP!
