I currently use a Hitec Optic 6 with their QPCM receiver. I'm thinking of switching to a Futaba transmitter. My question.....Will the QPCM receiver work with Futaba radios, or is it only designed to work with Hitec radios? Also, if possible, is there only a certain Futaba radio it will work with?
Thanks, Ken

PCM is proprietary, you'd need a Futaba PCM receiver with a Futaba radio.
PPM is a differenty story, the reciever just has to be the same shift, in Futabas case thats negative, JR and Airtronics use positive, Hitec makes both.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I'm sick and tired of Hitec's unacceptable electrical tape repair procedure for glitching. $1500.00 heli being controlled by electrical tape. UNACCEPTABLE HITEC !!! Thank You for your help.

Hitec receivers and Futaba receivers are both negative shift. Now if the Hitec QPCM as they call it requires something different than a PPM signal. The Futaba FM receiver will not work with a Hitec Transmitter. But if the Optic 6 just transmits a normal PPM signal. It is transmittibg on the negative shift side and it will control a Futaba FM (PPM) receiver that is on the same channel.
