Any of you guys ever tried this head? I'm thinking of getting it but wanted some input. Thanks.

I was very curious about this head myself. Does it work with the stock main shaft and does it eleminate the slop or the play that the plastic has.
I saw the micro heli metal head and have not really read any reviews of anyone who has it.

I have one on my HDX 300. It is a great head and performs just fine. I did have too much play in the blade grips so I recommend that the first thing you do is toss the dampeners that come with the head (the are soft and made of neoprene) and replace them with V5 'O' rings. These are made of viton and have a higher duromenter (hardness). I as well ended up adding shims. One other mode that I did was change the stock 1.5mm head retaining grub screws with 3mm grub screws. Just tap the existing holes out to accept the 3mm screw. Far easier to access, tighten and is more secure. Other than that it looks gorgeous and flies great.

Dan, those are excellent suggestions. I will give them a try. Thank you very much for posting. I really was not sure what to do next.
Now I need to find where to get the V5 O-Rings. In a way past job I used to have access to all that stuff but not latley.
Thank you for your input.

I have two of these heads, one installed on my Blade CP and the other installed in my HoneyBee CP2. I'm very satisfied with them.
The head that is intended for the HDX300 belt drive conversion of the Blade CP is different. I'm just nearing completion of a HDX300 build so I have no comment as to the flying qualities. The component quality is very good. If you go the HDX300 route, you'd better be pretty good at figuring out the assembly, for the available written instructions can best be described at "scetchy. The available videos are MUCH better.
