I have a hirobo x-spec and i was wondering if there happened to be a place where could purchase a set of wider landing skids. the stock ones seem narrow and i dont want it to tip over on spool up as it tends to wobble though the lower rpms.
You can minimise that by pulling on each blade with each hand to get them close to straight - I've never had a Freya or Sceadu fall over on spool up (I use Freya Skids on the Sceadu) - if it's a real problem you may have the blades too tight
There is the Extreme 3D Skid range however - I forget the site (not a Hirobo part)

thanks for the help im not so much worried of it just flipping on its own but i fly off of a grass strip and it not completely flat. If you can remember the site let me know. and do you know of any other possible upgrades?
I thought it was EastCoastExtremeHelis

The ones I am thinking off were available in all colours
and were 3D tough struts or something like that
But I can't find them now
Anyway, here are a few other options:
Older and larger Hirobo struts that will fit the XSpec

This is an after market option

Other upgrades - for an XSpec
You can do the grip flip mod
I've already posted full details of that here:

8 degrees of aileron and she rolls very snappy indeed
Some people put a Freya Evo head on the XSpec
There is a metal DTDS lower gear set
A metal flybar cage
There is a metal tail box
Most of these come of the Eagle Ex - so look for Ex parts
Non of them are needed however - but they are nice bling

You should look at the Quick UK struts… they are a full two inches wider than the Sceadu 50 landing gear. And just as tall (good if you want your tail rotor clear of tall grass) they also come in a range of neon colors to help see the heli.

I have teh venture 50 skids on my evo, they set lower, and I don't have a problem with teh tail in the grass. I am sure they are a tad wider as well.
The Vigor skids are comparably low and wide, on a 60-90 size ship. They are definately a much lower stance than the old Eagle 2 struts I have and are just as wide as the QUK 60 size struts, which I bought for my Vigor, but I like the lower profile of the stock struts.
