Spray Gun Recommendation

Can anyone tell me the specs required on a mini sized spray gun to get the best results?
Needle size etc must make a difference to the finish but there are so many out there to choose from so some guidance would be very useful.

I have an old Vega 2000 and the lower end Aztec sprayers are good as well.
