By charging my Apex 2100 3cell LIPO at 1 Amp which takes about 1 3/4 Hours am i damaging the pack at such a slow rate? IM useing the Astro 109 charger i have several pacs so longer charge times are not an issue i allways thought the slower you charge Batteries the longer the flight times im [/B]new to Lipos any help would be great Thank you.

All I have read says you should charge lipos at 1C. Which in your case would be 2.1 amps. It should take about 1 hour to complete the charge.

Charging below 1C (under 2.1A in your case) is perfectly OK and can help the longevity of you batteries. Lipos are designed to be charged at UP TO 1C. There are some new technology ones that can be charged about 1C but it shortens the lifetime (no. of cycles).
It is unlikey you will get longer flight times by charging a lipo slowly, but it will probably help you get more cycles from the battery.
