I have a CP pro and bent the main shaft. I am astounded by how ridiculously difficult it is to get the main shaft out. Had to pry the locking collar off the shaft and now I cannot get the dang shaft out of the bearings! The top bearing is completely stuck to the shaft.

Any hints?

Most likely the hole that the retaining pin goes through is warped leaving enough of an edge to hold it up in the bearing. Happens in almost every crash. I use a file on the shaft around the retaining pin hole before trying to get it through the bearings. It should slide right out after this... I have replaced my main shaft 6 or 7 times now and this happens every time.

Yeah, that is one problem I am aware from from my other heli. This looks like it was the slight bend in the shaft was locking into the bearins. Finally got it.

Actually you don't even need to pull the shat to straighten it.

Just pop off the head (single pin), grab it with a pliers and give it a bend.

Some guys have even just grabbed the head and bent it back without removing anything.

Have fun!

i cut the top of the shaft off(below the pin hole) with a dremmel and remove the burrs from the cut. Works great

I take a pair of plyers and hold the shaft where the holes is and spin the main gear by hand, the pliers will grind down and make that part of the shaft passable threw the swash and bearings in a few seconds. the more pressure you apply to the plyers the faster you will true out the shaft.

I just use a large sanding emory board to sand around the pin hole before pulling it out. Course grit works it down pretty fast. If you are going to reuse, use a finer grit and then polish it up with a dremel polishing bit before you put it back together.

Cheers!

Thats kinda what I ended up doing, but since everything is so small, and close together, its tough.

Thanx!

Usually, you will have a vibration and it may affect the ability to lift off. And once off, it will be difficult to control. Since I am building a trex, I dont plan to spend any more money on the blade. Maybe much later when I can fly well, but not now.

I realized too late that the blade is not a good beginner heli. Oh well, you live, you learn............

If you don't wanna deal with all that crap buy a MH main gear and hardened main shaft...

it holds up alittle better. for the ultimate main shaft. look around here for the ejector pin shafts..

this company will only ship to business address's. so when you place the order you must state a business name. thats all you have to do. plus the order is C.O.D.

nah i dont feel like searching for it.. but if you do a search for ejector pin mod. you can easly find the link i think its

plastix.com

neways you gotta get the right size and also be able to cut them down.. i think one pin makes 2 shafts or some shit like that..there is acertain code you gotta look for when searching for the right pin..mortificate uses them. says there damn strong. perfectly true, even after a few crashes..
