Its a great kit! If you have never flown plankers, leave the flaps down, the breaks on until you can do several landings! Then Take breaks off the landing gear, then when comfortable, lift the flaps up. I have over 60 flights on mine and still enjoy it!
With the winds we have over here and narrow asphalt runway, sometimes a problem on landing. Flys good. But I do recomend adding Epoxy to the main fusaloge as they are a little skimpy with glue as compared to the way I build. The Evo .46 engine that is on it is great! Very stable and easy to tune! After you are good, go to a 2 bladed 11x6 prop for more speed. I have tipped stalled, and bounced it! a little glue and back up in the air! If your car is small, dont glue the wings or tail section on and only 15 to 20 min at the field and you are flying!

I do recomend it! Its a great beginner through intermeadiate plane. And people are always coming over for a look! I have had a lot of fun with it!

mantistw,
Make sure your heli radio is capable of at least 2 types aircraft. If it is, then no problem. I have used JR's mostly. And in the numbers to JR, it tells all: 9303 is 9 channel 30 model memory 3 types aircraft. 6102 6 channel 10 model memory 2 types aircraft.

The radio that came with mine, I forgot the number is only 5 channel and holds 2 models witch is good. 1 for the plane and 1 for the sim. Your kit will come with a sim for that plane! I have had no problems with my radio, its very basic and good for beginners.

Also, Horizon has answered my questions very quickly via email, so if you have problems, thaey are there to help.

With the 5 channel, after you are good and take off the brakes, raise the flaps, and remove the plastic cups that give you more wing, you can purchase an extra servo for the flaps. The servo mounts are already built in the wing, all you have to do is cut the monocoat and screw in the servo and adjust!

I love the new concept that Hanger 9 has done with this kit! I know this sounds like a comercial, but the kit is very good! You will enjoy it.
