Hello All.

Wife bought me a Walkera #60 (I think) for xmas. After a few flights I of course went over my head and crashed it decently hard.

Bent the mainshaft, broke a servo (stripped), broke a landing gear, and a blade.

All of those bits have been replaced, but there are a few more which I'm unsure of the proper terms...

I've replaced the plastic control that connects, and the control arm....but there is a metal ball that must have snapped off....I'm trying to figure out what parts I need to order to get this bird back in the air. The metal ball is gone, I'm assuming there is a screw as well to mount it to the ??? piece in the head?

In the meantime I'm building a exi500, but I would like to fly the w60 quite a bit more before progressing to the 500 size heli.

ANY help is greatly appreciated!

Not to be a smart a**, but I think the first step is to find out what heli you have. You really need to know the exact model of heli you have if you are going to buy replacement parts for it.

Have you checked out the Walkera website? They have exploded diagrams of many of their helis which help you identify the different parts. Also, once you know what model you have, try to find an on-line store that carries all the parts for it... you may be able to find the part(s) you are looking for by looking at all the parts.

It's a 60, just thought there were other models of the 60'. Looking around it doesn't seem so.

Just trying to keep the down time to a min, and not have to order another set of parts if I get the wrong ones.

LOOK like the balls that I need, but I'm unsure if I need the entire screw set, or If I can order just the screws I need.

Unfortunately, Walkera does not sell individual screws, so you will need to buy the entire screw set to get the one or two that you need. The question I would have is "what damage is there to the part that the screw goes into!". You may have stripped the threads on the part. I think you might need to get a new bellcrank set as well.

If thats the plastic arm that is attached to the flybar mount (?), it's been replaced. Just need the ball and screw :)
Pics were post crash, but before replacing what I've got.

Told ya I was bad with the terminology. Bellcrank huh..

Something else I've noticed....the pulleys that tension the tail belt are at a slight angle.....I can't tell if that is how they were, how they should be, or if something else is broken there. I can see right away this little bird might teach me more about fixing/setup than flying, but I need to learn it all (and enjoy tinkering anyway).

On another note, I ordered the collective servos for my EXI500 build. Slowly but surely (next paycheck I'll get a motor/ESC). Hopefully near the end of summer it'l be ready to go.
