Hey guys,
I'm new to nitro helis, I'm coming from a Trex and want to get into a raptor. I want to get a V2 30 (i know people are gonna say go for the 50, but im on a college budget right now and the 30 is all i need right now :) anyways.....my question is....I am going to buy the arf version cuz i dont have the time or room to build a full kit. I have an O.S. 32 laying around that has never been used, would this be a good option or should i just get the arf with TT engine combo? Ive heard good and bad about reliability issues with the TT engines, but it does have more power. Any advice would be great! :D

If you can get the os37.

Helicopters arent that hard to build and if you have a kitchen table you have enough room, you are going to have to fix it at some point so it helps to know how it went together.

As you said, TT engines are hit and miss, OS's just run.

will the OS 32 not be powerful enough to fly this heli? Its kinda a money issue for me right now but i can do the combo w/TT engine or my OS32....dont know which would be better. I will most likely upgrade to the OS37 or maybe even the 50 conversion kit in the future.

I got a used tt39 Im gonna be taking out for my new os.37 if your interested. Its got about 1.5 gallons through it. Im just tired of the tuning all the time and the oil mess it makes out of the crank bearings. Runs good when tuned though. Im selling the pipe also.

Given the choice between a TT engine and a OS engine, if you want to fly instead of chase tuning, use the OS till you can afford an upgrade.

The os32 is kind of weak but I would take that over the TT39. I had the TT39 and finally broke down and got the os37 and I am much happier now.
