Can anyone help me in knowing where the proper light location and color for a bell jet ranger is? I want to put in color LED strobes but can't find any info on the web. Thanks for the help!

Green on right, red on left.
A pair of green and red under the fulseage just aft of the first crosstube, second pair on the edge of horizontal stabaliser. One anti collision light on the top of vertical fin, one at the most abt bottom of the fuselage. A white light on the most aft part of the tail boom.

Well there are minimum lighting requirements but the Jet Ranger can be ordered in any number of lighting configurations.
So the correct answer is you would need a picture of the subject you are modeling.
http://www.helispot.com has zillions of pictures, you can set the search filter to dusk/night shots and go from there.

would you know for a bell 230 ?
I have a kit for (ACL-2V2)
- 2-4 position lights (red left, green right)
- 2 anti-collision (color ?)
- 2 landing floodlight (white)
So far I have seen a good picture from above link ...

Bell 230 fuselage is basically the same as bell 430's, and here it is:
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0716274/L/
2 nav lights, one white on tail, 2 anticollsion light, one just aft of main rotor and one under the tail boom (a little red light is visible under the vertical fin on the horizontal stabilizer.
