Yup - 2.4GHz spread spectrum is the way of the future and the DX7 delivers it in a high-class mid-range computer Tx with great features and world beating performance.

Some of the benefits of the DX7 include:

- the most secure Tx-Rx link ever
- no shootdowns **EVER**
- virtual immunity to glitches
- reduced probability of lockouts
-"model match" which makes it impossible to attempt to fly an aircraft with the wrong model selected in the Tx
- channel reordering and synchronisation for CCPM to deliver the best possible performance
- direct DSM encoding from the sticks for phenominally low latency

IMO it would be crazy would be to buy any other 6 or 7 channel radio today.

Now if they would just release them in time for Christmas we would be all set. Everytime I check @ horizonhobby they estimated due date slips. It's late december nowadays.

Horizon has been shipping the DX7 for the last couple of days to dealers. My local hobby shop is suppose to get them on Thursday. The estimated due date may be changing due to Horizon not having enough radios to fill all the back orders.

Yea exactly Matt, I mean a 14mz is awesome and would love one of those or a 12 but I simply know I would not need more than half those functions or maybe even a higher %. I do not even use expo, mixes or anything much for that matter. And yes that will be a true tag line the freq pins,,,, you should use that, lol. :D

I noticed on Horizon Hobby site there are 2 different model numbers:
SPM2710
SPM2712

Anyone know what the difference is? I've read both pages and I can't find anything different.

By the way, Horizon says they are shipping mine today. I think I got the 2712.

Just set my Trex600 up with the DX7. I can't really tell the difference from my 12Z. Everything seemed to be right on the money as far as response in tic tocs, etc.. Obviously not the same class radio programming and control wise, but, 1/4 the price and same or better performance.
