Hey i currently have a xp 6210 and R700 on my t-rex, my radio is capable of PCM but i would need to upgrade my receiver to the R770 to have PCM. Is PCM worth it and what are the advantages. Also is it worth upgrading everything to a 7202 with a R790 to get PCM and Scant-select any other adavantages there or would it be better just to upgrade to a R770 with PCM only?
thanks tommy

PCM is the route to go. Your budget dictates whether it is just a reciever or whole new setup. The 7202 has a lot more features than your 6 channel..

ya... i guess i was wondering what those features are besides PCM and scan-select. is scan-select worth it? are there any other advantages with the 7202? all i am really looking for is a reliable radio as glitch free as possible, would my 6102 with a r770 (PCM) be good or are there any other significant advantages i would be missing out on w/o the 7202 and R790
thanks again tommy

Just upgrading to PCM will be worthwhile to reduce your risk of glitches and will be your cheapest option.
If your motivation is maximum glitch avoidance and you are also considering stepping up to a 7202 then consider a DX7. Essentially the same Tx platform as the 7202 but with the superior RF features of 2.4GHz including glitch immunity.

Thanks for the info, my freind is also considering the DX7 for his trex 600, ill have to check it out, and decide if it is worth buying a new transmitter

No, the DX7 is a non-modular Tx with a built in proprietary 2.4Ghz RF section that will only work with Spektrum receivers (currently the AR6000 6-ch unit which is ideal for a TRex or the new AR7000 7-ch unit for larger airframes).
Legacy FM systems use proprietary PCM implementation so that for PCM operation you cannot mix Tx and Rx brands so the DX6/DX7 are no more restrictive than existing systems.
