Hi folks!

I had every intention in ordering a balancer but have not yet  I will, but probably will not have it for a while as I am getting ready to move.
Anyway, I am using DN Power 2150 Mah 3S 11.1 v lipos for my Trex, and using the balancer plugs, checked the voltage. of each cell. They were 3.63, 6.58, and 9.51. I know...way out of balance. My question is this, until I get my balancer, can I balance them by charging / discharging each cell through the balance plugs, so that all the voltages are even?

Also, if the pack is only 11.1 volts, how do it have almost 20 volts total between the 3?

Thanks!
Ed

Also, if the pack is only 11.1 volts, how do it have almost 20 volts total between the 3?It has to do with how the balance connector is wired. Just subtract the first value from the second to get the voltage of the number 2 cell. Subtract the second value from the third to get the voltage of the number 3 cell.

Many local hobby shops have balancers available. You could get an Astro Flight Blinky for about $24 (US). What ever one you finally get, make sure your pack balancer plug will work with it or, get an adapter.
