I'm thinking since the 4#6 has a 90 degree flybar that it should have really good FF. I own a CB and love it, but it does do the "tail spear" thing and it annoying. On the CB the nose will eventually come back up when in FF, does the 4#6 do the same thing?

4#6 do have better FF than the cb100. As the design for the cb100's rotor is for stable flight and it handle like a co-axial. the 4#6 have "normal" rotor design so it is much faster in FF. :)

Hi TT95,
I'm still a newbie after 1 year, but I have the nose of an elephant, and the mouth of a jackass, so I'll step in. Yes, the 4#6 will outperform the CB100, but it's a little tough for someone with 45-degree flybar experience. However. it is slower than the 4#3, and you can get the hang of fighting the gyroscopics pretty fast, using slow flight, indoors.
But I may have new advice soon, as my new 4#6s (3D gyro) seems to hold a nose-down position pretty well, and it has a hot-rod motor. That should give great FFF. However, my training had to pause at two days (indoors only), as the head dampeners crapped out quick, and needed re-engineering. Thanks to advice here from Steve J and others, I'm back in the air. I'll report back soon.
Good luck, John
ps. the Timewerx 4#3 sim is the best way to get ready to fly any FP.

I know about the "s" model. And it kinda seems a little flaky right now being new and all. I'm kinda worried that the 3-axis is too much of a handi-cap. I need to progress, not regress you know what I mean :) The one thing that seems like an advantage with the S model is that it looks like you can fly outside with it in not so calm winds.
So give us a full report on the "S" model.

Okay, reporting.
I got a good test tonight, with winds from 10-12, and 18 mph gusts from south and west. I was worried at first that the wind was so strong that I might have to hand launch. Surprisingly, it popped up good, and went straight into the wind right off...first time, diving right into the grass.
The gyro holds the nose-down posture quite well, much to my delight. I enjoyed the roll crabbing against side winds very much, as well. When I flew right into the wind, the 6s knifed through, but bobbing too much. I had several semi-hard grass landings, but no damage. The only time I put it on the street, it landed on its feet.
As I gained courage, I sent it into the wind about 100 feet to the next yard, turned it back, but dumped it when it started coming back way too fast, and it hit dirt instead of grass. Bent flybar was all. Funniest flight was when I brought it back to me, as neighbors with a dog were on the walk, and it hit me in the head (no head damage).
All in all, I over-heated 3 batteries and had a great time. Longest flight was over 1 minute. If you want to fly in 10+ mph wind, this might be a good pick.
When I start to think this was too easy, I'll turn down the gyros.
Fly safe, John

What are you flying know?
Blade 400, CB100 and selling a Novus CP on eBay right now.
I've totally mastered the CB in all orientations. The Blade, no so much, but putting down a lot of sim time. The Novus was a blast to fly when it was not being adjusted. I hated the brushed motors and didn't feel up to upgrading it to BL.

I have both CB100 and 4#6s and I there is a tremendous difference in just about every aspect of performance, in favor of the 's'. About the only advantage I'm seeing on the cb100 is that is better at home indoors than the 's' which gets going quite fast.
