i made sure the throws are maximum.
but i still find the piro rate slow, anyone have an idea how?
i have used the stock lepton tail blades, and now i have custom cut the sceadu 50 tail blades shorter and balanced them, no vibes but still slow...

Increase the rudder endpoints in your radio, that should speed it up.

What gyro/servo?

Gain on gyro may be to high.

ok, let me say this again, i made sure my rudder throws are maximum.
my gyro is 601/9256 servo
my gain is around 35-40%
but i believe it has nothing to do with the gain...
the piro rate is not THAT slow, just slower than i would have liked...

Hi Jon,
Hs am not exactly sure, but am running evo4340 4s1p with 24t pinion.
my graph is something like 100-95-90-95-100 seems high enough...
i just cant seem to get the piro rate that i get from the Trex...

Try a set of light carbon tails. If the tail rotor endpoints are set to their max setting the piro rates are most likely being limited by the tail blades.

35-40% gyro gain ? Isn't that a bit high % (low gain) ? If you use a 401 and a good servo (e.g. 9254), then should be no issue to put it down to let's say 10% ?

35 is just about perfect for a 601
I agree with Terry, try good tail blades and or up your atv on your rudder channel.
Since I am unfamiliar with your technical expertise let me not make any assumptions and say this. Most of the time a slow piro rate is caused by using the rudder atvs to set the servo throw, and while giving you full deflection on the ground this will cause problems in a heading hold gyro in the air, the correct way to set it up is to set the rudder atvs to 100/100 and in the case of the 601/611 use the screen on the gyro to set the individual end points for no binding. Then you can adjust the rudder atvs up or down to get the piro rate you want and this will not affect whether the linkage binds in flight if the end points in the gyro are set right.

I have a good piro rate with the 68mm CF blades.
Also, LimitA/B isnt the same as rudder ATV/EPA :)
Good luck!

yes. i set the limits not atv...
i will try those 68cm CF blades..

If you set the limits you should try raising the rudder channel ATV/EPA :)
This will increase the piro no matter what the gyro limit is set to.
