Onboard temperature gauge

I would like to know the maximum temperature on my engine during flight, as the temperature quickly gets lower after I land.

Is anyone using an onboard temperature gauge that can show the maximum temperature, like this: http://www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=TRX4091 ? Is it worth investing in?

Yes I'm using sth like this on my heli too. Its really worth its money since you can see the max temps while doing tic-tocs e.g., very important for engine tuning...

still have to wait for the main blades to slow down a bit before i lean over and slow the head button down' unfortunate part is i get inacurate info as its had seconds to cool before getting my reading.
those on board ones are proberbly the way to go.

The Multigov Pro does it, just plug in the display and it will tell you the max temp reached in the flight. You do need to get the temp sensor mounted
