Well this is the kind of things you find out while you get bored waiting for spares and look at your left overs everyday.
I was checking the swash plate (stock plastic) and, let me see if I can describe it in an understandable way...
The bottom part is (the bigest diameter one where the ail. and elev. servos attach) joined to the smaller diam (metal with the other 4 balls to the head) with a bearing, that's ok.
Inside this combo is the other metal piece ball shaped with the hole where the main mast goes through.
Now, between this central ball and the outer plates combo there is another plastic bit (I guess it's a kind of a plastic bushing but not sure of it).
Well, the central ball itself has some play against this "plastic bushing" it moves up and down less than .5 of a mm and this "plastic bushing" moves side to side (even less than that) inside the metal plate.
(Not sure if the explanation is clear).
I suppose when the head is spinning everything rotates together (except for the lower plate) and the main mast is supported by the bearing blocks, that leaves the play as a tiny sloppiness for the servos.
The heli has only 2 or 3 gallons of fuel through it and I'm not doing any 3D of any type.
Is this considered normal wearing or should I be worried about it???
I don't think it's a safety issue (at least not yet) since everything it's still in one piece and does not come appart. But I guess if this is not normal, that minimum play might influence in the smoothness of flight and setup (yeah, I know I keep finding excuses... ).
The things I come up with just to get an excuse for buying some bling
