Do you guys use exhasut gaskets on your pipes? You know between the header/pipe and the motor. I always have used them. I ordered my new MP2 and my OS .37 and I am unsure if the pipe comes with a gasket otherwise my local hobby shop dont have any and they said they never use them. Even on their 1/10 offroad trucks. Any input?

No, I don't use a gasket. If desired a very thin smear of high temp RTV silicone can be used.

No gaskets. An if you do use RTV make sure its a VERY THIN smear, though you really dont need that either if both surfaces are true just bolt it up, fly it and check/snug the bolts after the first flight. Dont go crazy with the torque or the bolts will loose thier spring.

OK, I threw it together with nothing and its leaking. I sort of figured but I thought I would try something new. Anyways I found a part number for the stock exhaust gaskets. Should I use one of those or do you guys recommend using RTV over a gasket? Ive always used gaskets on my 1/10 cars/trucks and never had a problem.

If your engine dies in flight for no reason, inspect the plug carefully for flecks of orange, if you see them you know you went overboard with the RTV.
You can face the surfaces on a sheet of glass and piece of emory cloth, then they wont leak metal to metal.
