at long last i have got my700 running properly with no tail wag on 3G!! ended up putng a 8900G on the tail.

that was not the problem though, the problem was when i built it i had a little too much loctite on the screw that fits inside ther tail rotor control arm and it had pretty much glued the little washer to the bearing!!

i took it all apart lastnight and sorted the bearing out and now it is silky smooth!

i have just taken it out and... WOW seriously cool machine!!!

just need to get it run in now :)

thanx to everyone who offered advice in earlier posts :noteworthy

Yeap,

LockTight has to be used sparingly. Always clean the threads before using it, with some alcohol and a small amount will go a long way. You just have to let it set and it should be just fine.

IMHO, the integrity of LockTight depends on how clean are the threads on the screw and the threads in where the screw goes. If you have any trace of machining oil on those parts, then LockTight is not going to work as advertised.

Classic example of that is the main head spindle. Lots of people had that come apart in flight because the did not clean it properly.:arggg:

Enjoy your nice flying new heli. Pay attention on your brake in procedures and do it right, your motor will last longer.
