I got a pair of there new blades, carbon with yellow on the tip.

Got the clipped axle as well. Will get it installed tonight for test flight tomm.

Installed the new clipped axle. It works great. Grips move much easier. There is no drag on them from the dampeners. Havent flown the blades yet and with Charles in the area not sure when that will happen.

I flew the yellow tipped blades, Liked them very well. They are safer to fly thats for sure. Between the new axle, harder dampeners and the blades it flew great.

new axle? tell me about it. what's different than the older ones. As for the blades, they are awesome! Much better for aerobatic autos and 3D than old style Rotortechs. :D

The new clipped axle works better because it lets the grips mover easier. There is a c clip between bearing and dampener. the bearing is pushed up against the clip rather than against the rubber dampener.

I just got some of those blades... As yet unflown.

One interesting thing about them is that the yellow sticker is under the surface... There is no chance of the decal coming off. They look real good.

The trailing edge is very sharp however. It makes me worry that the edge is fragile to potential handling abuse. This is my first pair of serious carbons, so I don't know if that is normal with other brands.

Yeah me too.

Here in the Seattle area we just started the "constant raining" season. This season ends in March or April, when the "daily raining" season starts. :arggg:

So I'm looking at a long wait.

Sorry I didnt get pics posted of mine. They do fly really sweet. I havent had any problems with the edge as far as breakage or damage unless you count the cuts I have gotten from them. I trailing tip is very, very sharp. It will stick you really good if you are no careful. The yellow tip makes them very easy to see while flying. They are quicker than the 720's but they dont hang as well in the auto's.

Hi every one,

I was just reading through hear and saw this thread, I like Rotor Tec blades so I gave it a read. I was concerned about one thing,

Rodney, you said “I flew the yellow tipped blades, liked them very well. They are safer to fly that’s for sure.”

How do you mean they are safer? I have not heard of any trouble with any of these blades.

Well with the solid black blade you copuld not see the tip very well to see how
close it is to you when stopping with after flight. Also you can see the tip better while flying for all you nuts that like to get them close to the ground.

Ok I see your point, I have never considered all black blades to be un-safe but I to prefer white or in this case yellow tipped blades for there improved visual characteristics.
