For almost a year I fought with various options to provide 12 volts dc to my charger. None of the cheap options I tried worked very well. It works extremely well.
If you are looking for a really good DC power supply for your charger, look for a 13.8 volt dc power supply used by HAM radio hobbyist. These power supplies are well regulated, powerful and reasonably priced. Plus, since they put out 13.8 volts instead of 12, you need less current to charge high voltage battery packs.
