Sorry if this is old news, but I have discovered a really handy product with many potential uses on AP ships.
Sold in Australia as "easy Fix", this is a 6" x 3" flexible adhesive glassfibre reinforced polyester patch about 1/16" thick, which sets with UV from sunlight.
I used this to make a bracket to support the trigger servo for my new Olympus SP350 camera for the mast, which has the shutter on a 25 degree angle.
I cut a 2" x 1" piece, bent it to the correct angle, and then left it outside >in the rain<! A few hours later, it had set hard and is quite stiff.
I could imagine this being used to make really solid and strong mounts for FMA sensors, gyros and goodness knows what else.
I assume it is available in the States. No financial interest, although I wish I invented it!

Will, the real beauty of this product is that there is only one part! You take it out of the light-proof pack, cut the piece you need, peel off the backing from the sticky side, stick it down in the shape you need, and in 5 minutes (in the sun) you have a glass-reinforced repair! This could be a boon for a quick field repair to avoid aborting a job onsite....
No mess, resin, paddles, gloves or anything.
The photo shows the crudely cut part before trimming

I don't think that's the kind of UV kit being discussed here.
Great looking product Tony. I can see all sorts of uses for this stuff!

Well spotted Griffo! The UV I am talking about comes from sunlight of "blacklight" globes (I guess I could visit the local disco instead :glasses2: )
I agree, this product cries out to go in the field box. I could even imagine fixing a broken boom with a quick wrap of this stuff (that would have to be an extreme example though)

My Askman pole mount arrived yesterday, and the F%&* clouds arrived today! :arggg:
But my little bent bracket worked like a charm, suspending the trigger servo above the camera, and it has just about perfect flex, meaning that when the O-ring presses down on the shutter, the bracket flexes nicely, applying gentle pressure, well, just like a finger :D
Here is a pic.
Now clouds - bugger off!
OT: here's also a pic of the Askman mount (for context  )

I don't speak Dutch, but that looks like it. Check if it cures under ultra-violet light. If so, it is a similar product.
