(I posted this at LOGOmaniacs as well for those who visit both sites)

I'm pitching this to the Logo public to see if anyone has any helpful tips. I have a Logo 10 3D that I just finished putting together last night. While I was trimming it out I had the devil's own time getting my linkages 90 degrees and square to each other and zero pitch at mid stick. I'm using the stock Mikado frame with 9650 servos mounted as per the manual.

I started at the servos - mid stick, servo arms at 90 degrees. The rod lengths per the manual should be 12mm between the plastic ball links; I'm maxed out at 14mm. How do get the rods to shorten to 12mm when they're bottomed out at their physical max limit at 14mm? Do I need to shorten the rods?

At the max shortened length, the swash sits level and flat and the washout arms are level and flat as well.

The flybar push rods are set equal to each other, no problems there that I can see.

Zero blade pitch can only be achieved by maximally shortening the rods so they are bottomed out, and then only barely. When I track the blades this afternoon (hopefully) I won't have any room to maneuver inwards, only outwards.

Paddles are flat at zero degrees and parallel to each other, no problems there.

At the max endpoints for pitch I'm getting about =/-16 degrees - far more than I need obviously. Is there a mechanical solution to this or should I use the swash AFR or ATV's to reduce the collective travel?

This is my first Logo so I don't have alot of experience to draw from here. Anybody with similar setups or advice on the rod lengths? Thanks!

Are you sure the rod ends are as far as they'll go ?
On my logo 14 the rod ends had to, and could be, screwed down past the point where thread was showing on the rod itself.

They're buried! There are no threads showing on the rods except for the servo-swash links, which are all threaded rod. The simple answer is to nip off a couple of milimeters from the ends, but I want to be sure that's kosher before modifying anything. I'm sure the designers worked out the rod lenghts very carefully before sending them to production.

I went about four turns past "no thread showing" on one pair.

Same on the 14 for me.. no threads showing but they are not bottomed out.
