I am contemplating the purchase of a Vibe 90. Does anyone know if an electric conversion kit is available.

Someone on HF had some pictures of a conversion. I saw them a month or so back in his gallery. I just dont remember who it was.

Are these user mods or is there a JR factory E Vibe90?
Found this link:

Seems like the AKmod.ch modifications to me.

@laurens
Thanks for the link, to whom does the EVibe belong in your picture, (RickNT?). Do you know where he bought it?
@marcelino
Why are you switching to the 32-3H, better performance? Did you test it yet and are you happy with it? Does it bolt right in or do you need some sort of adaptor?
A video would be nice...
I want a 90 size full 3D E bird and I'm thinking EVibe or IonX at the moment (or Razor700 if it comes out).
But making a motor mount or pinion adaptor myself is not an option for me. I do not have the tools nor the skills for that, I assume the AKmod.ch covers that.

Jurrien, this Vibe belongs to Michiel Jager. You can probably get his email adress through the F3C organisers.

Skywalkertje,
Yes i am flying that 32-3 for a while now. It gives at least the same power than the Pletti before, but has 175 gramm less weight. I like it and the pletti is for sale...
Whole bird is now 4980 gramm, ready to fly.
It`s geared 1:10 (10T:100T) on 12S TPX3850 governed with a power jazz now.
Gives you 6 Minutes on 690`s with HS 1900, or 5minutes 20sec on 2100 with +/-13° It`s holding 2100 very well because you have it only on 60% governor. There is much headroom for the governor to compensate and it even gives you a HS of 1900 while doing hard, short tic-toc`s after 4,5 minutes. --> use a timer! You won`t feel when to stop flying `till it`s too late.
If i fly that Vibe E where people haven`t seen e-powered helis before, usually the nitro guys take their stuff and go home. No Joke! My buddies really like it when this happens
It`s actually a 32-3 M (Max). I ordered a 32-3 Heli and got a 32-3M. :dontknow
Akmod has only motor mounting adapters for the pletti, and this one doesn`t work with the 100T gear i am using. It`s just for stock 84T or 88T (nitro) gearing on 10S Lipo.
You can use the stock nitro motor pinions and the AKmod Pinion adapter, but you would have to do your own Actro mount. Watch out to get the pinion adapter for 5mm shaft!
You need to cut the frames also. 100T Pinion wont fit inside the stock frames.
It`s a little work to do, but it`s worth it! Have a look for a machine shop, if you can`t do the parts by yourself.
Yeah, agree, video would be nice. I`m working on flying and holding the camera at the same time

Marc:
Did you cut the 100T Main Gear or is this something available in Switzerland from a stock drive company?
What is the amperage draw at hover and at full pitch load?
Did you ever do a maximum watts calculation, I am wondering how much power this system puts out based on data?
Thank you for your willingness to share your information.

Barron,
this 100T main gear is a JR or K&S part. It`s`from Venture or Airskipper. I`ll ask my buddy for a part no.
The inner diameter is about 0,2mm too small to fit on the Hub. No problem if you have a turning lathe, even no problem with a dremel if you`re careful. It`s nearly nothing to take.
I did some flights with a logger installed. But this was with the pletti. Peaks were somewhere at 130-140 A @ 3,3V/cell, which is about the same we see on the 50 sized helis running 10S. These high peaks in general will be pulled by a mix of much collective and much cyclic input at the same time. (That`s what we don`t wan`t to do  )
I`ll catch some 32-3 flight data's next day on the field and post them here...

That's a neat tail servo mount. Is that custom work done by you?
marcelino

Sorry Maxists, didn`t see your question!
yes, that tail servo mount is custom made by me.
Pretty easy to do: Cut some Aluminum L-profile (hope that`s how you call them  ) to fit, find some alu washers and use them as spacers. (tail blade spacers could work)
Drill four holes and cut two threads per side... Voilą :glasses2:
