The 9z is nice but the 9c does nearly as much and its quite a bit simpler to program.

Between the 7c and 9c as the post header asks, besides the channels you get more detailed mixing, a bigger display with real time graphs of expo, dual rates, pitch and throttle curves, 1 more channel in PPM, 2 in PCM, more model memory and you can change channels by swapping the module or install a synth module that you cannot on the 7c, also the 9c has removable storage so you can transfer models to other 9c transmitters. Well worth the additional money IMO

Well the 9Z is discontinued. The 12Z took its place basically. The 12Z is a great radio and programming is very similiar to the 9C. Except the 12Z has a lot more features than the 9C.
