I've had a small amout of white dust, i.e. a little wear off the main gear.
Seems to be less now.
I checked the mesh using the paper-through-the-gears method, and that was fine.
It feels OK too.
Maybe it's just the new gear bedding in.
Anyone else had this?
I've only had it once before with a 700 turbine.

Good morning Tomcarpenter, I have the same concern. I found it was my canopy rubbing on the Main Gear. I dislike the canopy fit as well. I just "dremeled" my canopy to clearance the main gear.
Regards.

i dremeled too.
I assumed the white dust was the main gear. I will look again and check it's not the canopy (i don't think it is)

Let me clarify. The white dust I had was from the main gear. Actually the top of the main gear was rubbing on my canopy. It actually beveled the teeth on the main gear. Sorry for the confusion.
Regards.

yep same here white gear dust. and canopy rubs on main gear.
the gear i can deal with as it seems to be getting less. But the canopy craps me, will try to heat the FG and bend it out before it does to much damage

I haven't had a chance to refit the canopy yet, but I looked at the canopy quickly and there are no marks.
This dust is almost certainly off the gear/pinion, can see from the way it is 'sprayed'.
but no doing now, so guess just was the gears wearing in
