My new heli, 20l old... :arggg: Even though it wasnt my mistake its devastating. Just practicing Tic-Tocs in all directions, suddenly I heard a boom and it fell like a stone from 30m high. I'll probably need a new kit now, but where could have been the problem? I was using Trueblood dampers, Radix 690, 11°/7° pitch, 1900rpm. The ball sockets which trigger the blade holder (dont know how its called) were both broken... Maybe I try the ones form Quick-UK, but for precisly this broken ball sockets I couldnt use them because Quick-UK is not offering the long ballheads.

Forgot to mention: the lipo pack was found 5m away from the heli, the tail was pulled out (found like this, I didnt do anything to the heli until I had done the photos), found about 20m away from the heli, the tail case was completely tore out (the pin hold well, the hole in the boom is now an open elongated hole) and is lost.
The canopy was torn out too, one of the paddles hit my electronics and destroyed some wires (cut some servo wires in 2 pieces), it destroyed my Switchglo too and cut the antennae from my receiver off.

Not good at all mate, hope you get it fixed soon, if a link popped off it could of caused the boom strike, also don't run the blades too loose, if the heli loads up they could rotate in the grips and cause a boom strike, also if the dampers are worn

Hey Face992
That's terrible stuff man...but welcome to the club:arggg:
I had the exact same thing happen to me about 8 months agot with my 700. Impossible to tell for sure, but I came to the conclusion (will the help of the fellow freaks) that a ball link let go.
Take a look....http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=149062

Wow damned growler, how the blades' lead spinned around the mainshaft lol. Its crazy my heli looked like nearly the same after the crash, also had the front right leg broken, the tank was also pulled to the side, I had also some rest of the boom left in the tail boom case and the tailcase was also pulled out. Were your electric stuff ok?
@moonmanflyer: my blades were tightened really good, you had to apply a force to it to get them moved (but not that tight that you couldnt move them). I was using Trueblood dampers, 5l old, so I assume they were not worn out or sth.
Yes I calculated how much it would cost to fix it, but its cheaper to get a new kit. I dont want to throw a number on you, but it would cost definitely above 550-600€ to get it fixed. Do the Quick-UK links fit on the blade grips' balls? I didnt have any wear issues, the links fitted perfectly and also didnt were stiff or something.

Yes, I likely sell my 600 tomorrow and get a new 700 LE kit from that money. Probably I will use the QUK-Links from day 1, maybe the Quick-UK clutch too (I wont absorb another loss) maybe I'll try these new mixer arms from G-Force (Bobby Watts uses them). What else would you do to prevent any kind of failure as far as possible?
Actually I wanted to buy an Atom 500 (Compass) from the proceeds of the 600s' sale, but now this will have to wait :(

Face, I'm so sorry for your loss mate :(.
The Quick UK link set is complete with all the links and balls you need for the 700.

I would recommend the Quick UK link tools, if you want to save your fingers ;). You still have to use the Align rods though. The Quick UK clutch is nice, have it from day one and it is crisp.
Get to work rebuilding and get back flying soon.

Ah ok thx for the link, and good hint with the link tools. It was hard enough to get the Align ones on the rods for the last millimeters so I will definitely will use them. Next week I'll buy the LE kit and I'm trying to sell the black parts from the crashed heli now (those which still work) for getting a little extra money. Lets hope the best^^

Yes the tools are a must, the Quick UK links are hard to thread without them.
Here is a link.
