I took delivery of my new Duralite E Plus Gold packs - 5S2P 5000 mah together with FPEX balancing units. I balanced all of the cells while charging and flew my first three flights tonight. First off I saved 20 ozs in comparison to my 7600 mAh Gen 2 Thunder Power packs and 16 ozs. on the Thunder Power 8000 mAh Gen 2.1 packs. I could really feel the difference in how my ION handled. Not that it was bad with the heavier Thunder Power packs but it felt sooooo nimble with the Duralite packs. I flew easy 6 minute flights and consumed 3000 mAh from the Duralite Packs. The FPEX balancing unit is simplicity itself. Plug it into the dongle that is part of the pack and plug the pack into the charger. When the charge is finished the cells ain the pack are balanced. Couldn't be simplier.

Truly incredible! these packs are definetly worthy of the Duralite name.

I want some 8000mah packs. :D
They sure look like the ticket for 3D though. I will have to wait and see what Doc says about them. I am sure his are on the way. :D
Maybe I can even borrow a set to try next month. :D :D :D
