I got this from heli direct for 38 bucks . Installion was easy and works well. However the included instructions are poor. Is anyone else using this? If so how do you like it?

I'm looking at that gyro as well. Does it actually do heading lock? It's sooo cheap for a heading lock so I'm weary of it. If you're having success I think I will pick one up too.

I bought two of them but have yet to try one. I did take it apart to examine the innards. What I saw makes me think that they can't work properly unless you mount them on their side in a particular manner. This is assuming of course that the sensor is a typical, albeit smaller, alumina barber-pole sensor. If its some newer Coriolis effect based sensor, then woohoo!

I'll open it back up and snap a photo and post.

Here are some Innard Picz. The electronically squemish, should turn away now.

Edit: I'm having trouble identifying the sensors manufacturer's mark. Anyone recognize that one?

It looks like my walkera df4's gyro except it say 546 instead of 435. The other printings are identical.

Due to these "raving" reports, I'l going to order one.

I've had mine for a few weeks now and it works great. I haven't had a single problem with mine. I'm pretty new to helicopters but I can say that I no longer have to fight the tail with this bird.
